Teaching Tolerance The greatest stumbling blocks, most educated politicians agree, in transforming the middle east into a thriving democracy are their long held social beliefs which go against such a representative system. Be it religious norms or a feudal understanding of one dominant power source guiding a nation, it's hard to fathom the idea of the common man governing, and for good reason, as we really don't possess such a system in it's purest sense ourselves. In America, one must be educated and hard working in order to climb the social ladder to a position where they may affect change, but we do at least poTeaching Tolerance
